Incinerator Designs

Batch-load incinerators

Waste is loaded, burned and the ash removed in cycles. Simple to operate and cost-effective for smaller daily volumes.

Continuous-feed incinerators

An automatic feeding system loads waste while the unit is running. Suited to larger daily volumes and longer operating hours.

Controlled-air (two-chamber) incinerators

The primary chamber gasifies waste with limited air, and the secondary chamber burns the gases at high temperature. A common design for solid waste with good burnout.

Pyrolysis incinerators

Organic waste is decomposed in an oxygen-limited furnace; the pyrolysis gas is burned in a secondary chamber and cleaned before discharge. Suited to municipal and organic waste.

How to Choose the Right Incinerator

  • Waste type: composition, moisture and heating value decide the chamber design and fuel consumption.
  • Capacity: daily volume and operating hours decide batch vs continuous feeding.
  • Emission standard: decides the flue gas treatment system and has the biggest effect on cost.
  • Site conditions: available fuel (diesel, natural gas, LPG), power supply, space and climate.
  • Automation: manual, semi-automatic or PLC-controlled operation.
